Check / public records
Where can you check the answer?
Get the treating doctor’s or other licensed professional’s full name, along with the pharmacy’s name. Keep those names with the written plan.
Where can you check a person?
Search for the person who would treat you, not just the business name.
- Florida’s licence-search website lets you check whether a person has permission to give care. “Practitioner Profile” is their public information page. The search also shows discipline: official actions against a licence.
- A record showing no public discipline does not score the quality of future care.
- Check a Florida health licence
- As of September 2026, Florida lists people registered to treat you by phone or video from another state. These records name the individual person and show their Florida registration and home-state licence.
- Check Florida telehealth registration
Where can you check a pharmacy?
Ask which pharmacy would fill the prescription. The name on a service’s website may leave that question open.
- In Florida’s health licence search, choose “Establishment” to look up the pharmacy business itself, rather than an individual pharmacist.
- Sterile describes something with no living germs.
- A pharmacy outside Florida must hold a separate Florida permit to ship sterile medicines made to order here, as of September 2026.
- Ask for that permit’s details if your injection would be made to order outside Florida.
- Look up the pharmacy business
- Warning letter
- A warning letter from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) records concerns at that time, rather than a court’s final finding.
Where can you check an advertising concern?
Search by the business name. Read the letter and any later response together.
- FDA lets you search its public warning letters by company name. You can also narrow the search to letters with a reply or a later FDA letter about the concerns.
- Further contact between FDA and the company may change the status of the concerns in a letter. Finding no letter does not prove the business or its products are safe or approved.
- Search the FDA’s letters
What can you carry back to the visit?
Save the record you found and the question it leaves.
- Does this name match the person or pharmacy in the plan?
- Does the permission cover the kind of care being offered?
- What changed after this letter or record?
